A lot of my content work involves reaching out to stakeholders and helping them reevaluate their web presence. After relaunching the George Brown College website, I’ve been on a mission to ensure our content matches our new, user-centric design.
Counselling & Student Well-Being
I worked with folks in our Counselling department to completely redo their section of the website. Thankfully, they believed in being user-centric and understood what I call the “so what?” factor. For me, this is what people come to your site for and what they can get out of it. With this update, we put the department’s services front and centre, making their landing page easy to navigate.

Peerconnect
Peerconnect at George Brown does a lot of great work for students. Unfortunately, their web presence didn’t suggest this. There were no actionable things to do, no tangible ways to connect with them. I worked with their team to clearly define what they do and how they do it. Now their content has clear calls to action to encourage students to take part in Peerconnect programming.

Tutoring & Learning Centre
I worked closely with the Tutoring & Learning Centre to revamp their information architecture and update their content. They were very keen to do this and really understood their audience, so it was a great collaboration. Again, we wanted to bring their services front and centre, making it easy for students to book.
