My Story
Born in Scarborough but raised in Cottage Country, I spent my childhood reading everything I could get my hands on. As a result, a love of literature and the written word started early and has spanned my entire life.

I love the challenge of being given a topic, even one I know nothing about, and creating something that people want to read. A major passion of mine is making things accessible and understandable for everyone. I hate the thought of a person passing on something because they thought it would be too hard to understand. That’s why I like to create content that is sophisticated, but relatable, manageable, and most of all interesting!

A life-long learner, I’ve studied a lot over the years. A desire for travel that stems from my parents meant that I chose to attend schools in different places, each having a profound effect on my life. I went to university in Nova Scotia, England, and Scotland, and I went to college in Toronto (much closer to home!)

Most of my professional career has been spent working in the non-profit and post-secondary sectors. I love both because they allow me to combine my love of writing and creating with helping people. I have worked in communications, website content, email marketing, and much more.
